How we compare soundbars

Specs come from manufacturer spec sheets, manuals, support pages and press releases (older pages via the Internet Archive), with standards bodies such as HDMI, Dolby and DTS for what a feature means. They do not come from shop listings or customer reviews. Each write-up lists its sources and the date it was last updated.

MSRP is the maker's suggested price in US dollars, not a shop price. Shop prices can differ. Values a manufacturer does not state are marked as not stated.

We do not test soundbars, so there are no sound ratings. The Overall value and Price-band value scores are computed from specs and MSRP only, not from how a soundbar sounds. Our guides explain what the specs mean.

No paid placements
