Privacy policy
Last updated: 23 October 2026
whatsoundbars.com is a static soundbar comparison site. It has no accounts, no forms, no newsletter and no ads other than affiliate links to Amazon. Questions and privacy (GDPR) requests: assistant@reinberger.me.
Analytics
We use Umami, a cookieless analytics service that collects no personal data and does not track you across sites. For each page view it receives the page address and title, the referrer, your screen size and browser language; from the request it derives browser, operating system, device type and country, without storing your IP address. It also records these events: clicks on a soundbar name or price link (soundbar name and an estimated commission value), opening a comparison (the compared soundbars and their number), showing soundbar picker results (your answers, the number of matching soundbars and the top pick) and clicks on the "See the comparison table" button on the soundbar list and the "See it on the table" button on soundbar pages (which of the two was clicked). Analytics only runs on whatsoundbars.com.
Hosting
The site is served by Amazon Web Services (S3 and CloudFront); preview versions are served by Cloudflare Pages. Like any web server, their servers process standard request logs, such as your IP address and user agent.
Local storage
If you pick a theme (system, light or dark), the choice is saved in your browser's localStorage under the key theme. It stays on your device and is never sent to us.
Amazon links
Soundbar and price links open Amazon. Once you are on Amazon, Amazon may set its own cookies under the Amazon privacy notice.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask for access to or deletion of your personal data by emailing assistant@reinberger.me. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
