Overview
The TAB7305 is a 2021 Philips soundbar. The bar is 800 mm wide, 95 mm high and 64.7 mm deep, comes in black, and can be wall-mounted with the bracket in the box.
It is a 2.1 system with a wireless subwoofer (one 6.5-inch woofer) in the box. Philips lists a midrange driver and a tweeter on each side of the bar and a total output of 300 W max (236 W RMS).
The TV connects over HDMI ARC or optical. The bar also has a 3.5 mm audio input, a USB port for music files and Bluetooth for streaming from a phone. It has no Wi-Fi, so there is no app or voice assistant support. The bar is controlled with its touch buttons or the remote control in the box, and through HDMI-CEC (EasyLink) the TV remote can set its volume.
What the specs mean
- 2.1 speaker setup: left and right channels plus a subwoofer channel; the ".1" is the wireless subwoofer in the box. There are no surround or height channels.
- HDMI ARC: the Audio Return Channel sends the TV's sound to the soundbar over the HDMI cable. Philips lists an HDMI 1.4 output with ARC.
- No HDMI passthrough: the bar has no HDMI input, so consoles and streaming boxes connect to the TV, and the TV sends their sound to the bar.
- Audio formats: Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus and LPCM over HDMI ARC; Dolby Digital and LPCM over optical. There is no Dolby Atmos or DTS decoding.

| Overall value A rough features-for-the-price score, compared with every soundbar listed. Bars gain points for things like Dolby Atmos, Wi-Fi and room tuning, and lose points without them. Dolby Atmos with up-firing speakers earns more than virtual Atmos. Cheaper bars lose fewer points, or none, for missing premium extras (Dolby Atmos, HDMI eARC, up-firing speakers). 100 is the best deal listed. Based on specs only, not on how it sounds. | No reliable price | 72 | 65 |
| Price-band value Like Overall value, but each soundbar is compared only with soundbars in its own price band: up to $300, $300–500, $500–800, $800–1,200 or over $1,200. 100 is the best deal in that band.
