Overview
HW-QS700F is a 2025 Q-series soundbar with a 3.1.2 setup and a wireless subwoofer in the box. Samsung calls it a design first: a built-in gyro sensor detects whether the bar sits flat on a stand or is mounted on the wall, and adjusts the sound to match. The soundbar is about 1161 mm wide, 51 mm high and 119 mm deep (Samsung lists 45.7 x 2.0 x 4.7 inches), and the wall-mount bracket is included. Samsung lists the colour as Titan Black and 8 speakers. Samsung's SWA-9500S wireless rear speakers can be added; the manual then lists 5.1.4 output.
The TV connects over HDMI eARC. One HDMI input passes 4K video at up to 60 Hz with HDR10+ through to the TV, and there is also an optical input, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Over Wi-Fi, the bar supports AirPlay, Chromecast, Spotify Connect and Tidal Connect. Samsung lists no built-in voice assistant. With some Samsung TVs it also offers Q-Symphony (TV speakers and soundbar play together) and wireless Dolby Atmos over Wi-Fi.
You can control it with the buttons on the bar, the included remote, the TV remote, or the SmartThings app on iOS and Android.
What the specs mean
- 3.1.2 speaker setup: three main channels (left, centre, right), one subwoofer channel and two height channels from up-firing speakers, which is how the bar plays Dolby Atmos with sound from above.
- HDMI eARC: the enhanced Audio Return Channel sends the TV's sound to the soundbar over one HDMI cable, including high-bitrate formats such as Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Atmos and uncompressed multichannel audio.
- HDMI passthrough: a console or streaming box can plug into the HDMI input; the bar passes 4K video at up to 60 Hz with HDR10+ on to the TV.
- Audio formats: Dolby Atmos, Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD and multichannel PCM, plus a DTS Virtual:X sound mode.
- Room correction: Samsung lists SpaceFit Sound Pro as "Works with TV", so it depends on a Samsung TV; the manual has no SpaceFit section.
- Voice and night modes: Samsung lists Voice Enhance Mode for dialogue and a Night Mode for late listening.
