Overview
Bose announced the Lifestyle Ultra Soundbar in May 2026 as part of its Lifestyle Collection. It is 1099.4 mm wide, 67.3 mm high and 125 mm deep, and Bose lists a weight of 14.33 lb (about 6.5 kg). It comes in Black or White Smoke, with a knit fabric grille and a glass top, and it can be wall-mounted with the Bose Soundbar Wall Bracket.
Bose lists six full-range drivers (two up-firing and four front-facing), a center tweeter and two PhaseGuide drivers that place sound to the left and right. Bose TrueSpatial processing is used for content not mixed in Dolby Atmos, SpeechClarity enhances dialogue at adjustable levels, and CleanBass works with a QuietPort opening for the bass.
The TV connects over HDMI eARC (ARC also works); the HDMI cable is in the box, and there is no optical input. The back also has Ethernet, service, data and bass ports. The bar streams over Wi-Fi with Google Cast, Apple AirPlay and Spotify Connect, has Bluetooth 5.3, and can be grouped with other speakers through the Google Home app or AirPlay.
Amazon Alexa is built in. The top has soft-touch buttons, including an Action button and a Microphone off button. There is no remote in the box: the TV remote controls power and volume over HDMI-CEC, and the Bose app (iOS and Android) handles setup, equalization, and surround and height levels. The box contains the soundbar, the power cord, an HDMI cable and the quick start guide.
What the specs mean
- 5.1.2 speaker setup: five main channels, a ".1" low-frequency channel and two height channels, all from the one bar. The height channels come from the two up-firing drivers; there is no separate subwoofer in the box.
- HDMI eARC: the enhanced Audio Return Channel sends the TV's sound to the soundbar over the HDMI cable, including high-bitrate formats such as Dolby Atmos. Bose recommends the TV's eARC port for Dolby Atmos and the ARC port if the TV has no eARC.
- Audio formats: Dolby Atmos. Dolby Atmos places sounds, including overhead effects, around the listener; the TV and the content must both support it.
- No HDMI passthrough: the bar has no HDMI input. Sources such as a console or streaming box connect to the TV, and the TV sends their sound to the soundbar.
- Room correction (CustomTune): CustomTune, which Bose says was formerly ADAPTiQ, uses the microphone of an iOS or Android phone to measure the room and tune the sound. Bose recommends running it after wall-mounting the bar, and again if the bar is taken off the wall.
- Expandable: the Lifestyle Ultra Subwoofer adds a wireless subwoofer, and two Lifestyle Ultra Speakers add surround speakers; Bose says the full set makes a 7.1.4 system. The Bass Module 700 is also listed as an add-on.

|---|---|---|---|
| Overall value A rough features-for-the-price score, compared with every soundbar listed. Bars gain points for things like Dolby Atmos, Wi-Fi and room tuning, and lose points without them. Dolby Atmos with up-firing speakers earns more than virtual Atmos. Cheaper bars lose fewer points, or none, for missing premium extras (Dolby Atmos, HDMI eARC, up-firing speakers). 100 is the best deal listed. Based on specs only, not on how it sounds. | 63 | 84 | 74 |
| Price-band value Like Overall value, but each soundbar is compared only with soundbars in its own price band: up to $300, $300–500, $500–800, $800–1,200 or over $1,200. 100 is the best deal in that band. Based on specs only, not on how it sounds. | 69$800–1,200 | 92$800–1,200 | 80$800–1,200 |
