Overview
The H7 is the soundbar at the center of LG Sound Suite, LG's modular home audio system. LG calls it the world's first soundbar powered by Dolby Atmos FlexConnect. LG lists it as a 9.1.6-channel soundbar, and it decodes Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. The black soundbar is 1200 mm wide, 63 mm high and 143 mm deep and can be wall-mounted. The box holds the soundbar, a remote with batteries, an HDMI cable and a wall-mount bracket.
The system grows with wireless add-ons: up to two Sound Suite W7 subwoofers and Sound Suite M7 or M5 speakers. Each component connects over Wi-Fi and is recognized by the system automatically. With Dolby Atmos FlexConnect the H7 adapts its sound to where the speakers stand in the room, and Room Calibration Pro measures the room with the built-in microphone. Sound Follow moves the sweet spot to where the listener sits.
The H7 connects to the TV over HDMI eARC and also has USB, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. It connects to Wi-Fi on the 6 GHz band and on 5 GHz DFS channels. Over Wi-Fi it supports Google Cast, Apple AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect and Tidal Connect. You can control it from the remote, the buttons on the bar, the LG ThinQ app for iOS and Android, or an LG TV remote through SIMPLINK.
What the specs mean
- 9.1.6 speaker setup: 9 main channels, 1 subwoofer channel and 6 height channels, as LG lists the H7.
- Dolby Atmos FlexConnect: Dolby's system that adapts the sound to where the speakers are placed in the room, so the add-on speakers do not need fixed positions.
- HDMI eARC: the enhanced Audio Return Channel carries the TV's sound to the soundbar over one HDMI cable, including high-bitrate formats such as Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. The H7 has no HDMI input of its own.
- Audio formats: Dolby Atmos, Dolby Atmos FlexConnect, Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD, DTS Digital Surround, DTS:X, DTS-HD High Resolution, DTS-HD Master Audio and LPCM.
- Wi-Fi 6 GHz: besides the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, the H7 joins Wi-Fi networks on the 6 GHz band.
- Room correction: Room Calibration Pro measures the room and tunes the sound to it.
- Dialogue and night listening: Clear Voice Pro+ makes voices clearer, and Night Time lowers the overall volume while raising soft sounds.

|---|---|---|---|
| Overall value A rough features-for-the-price score, compared with every soundbar listed. Bars gain points for things like Dolby Atmos, Wi-Fi and room tuning, and lose points without them. Dolby Atmos with up-firing speakers earns more than virtual Atmos. Cheaper bars lose fewer points, or none, for missing premium extras (Dolby Atmos, HDMI eARC, up-firing speakers). 100 is the best deal listed. Based on specs only, not on how it sounds. | 91 | 54 | 76 |
| Price-band value Like Overall value, but each soundbar is compared only with soundbars in its own price band: up to $300, $300–500, $500–800, $800–1,200 or over $1,200. 100 is the best deal in that band. Based on specs only, not on how it sounds. | 99$800–1,200 | 59$800–1,200 | 83$800–1,200 |
