TV Speaker (2nd Gen)

Overview

The Bose TV Speaker (2nd Gen) is the 2026 successor to the original Bose TV Speaker. It is 596 mm wide, 57 mm high and 105.5 mm deep, and Bose lists a weight of 4.409 lb (2.0 kg). It comes in black, with a PC-ABS plastic body, and it can be wall-mounted with the Bose Soundbar Wall Bracket (sold separately).

Bose describes it as having full-range speakers, without giving a driver count. Dialogue mode makes speech easier to hear, and a bass button on the remote adjusts the bass.

The TV connects over HDMI ARC with the included HDMI cable. For older TVs, the bar also takes optical audio (cable not included), and it has an AUX input. The back panel also has bass and service ports. Bluetooth streams music from a phone or tablet. There is no Wi-Fi, no microphone and no voice assistant.

The bar comes with a remote control with its battery pre-installed. Over HDMI-CEC, the TV remote controls power and volume. Bose says it is Roku TV Ready. The box contains the remote, an HDMI cable, the power cord and the quick start guide.

What the specs mean

• Speaker setup not stated: Bose does not give a channel layout. It only lists full-range speakers.
• HDMI ARC, not eARC: the Audio Return Channel sends the TV's sound to the speaker over the HDMI cable, and HDMI-CEC lets the TV remote control it. The newer eARC carries higher-bitrate formats such as Dolby TrueHD and Dolby Atmos; this bar does not support eARC.
• Audio formats: Bose does not list supported audio formats for this model. The owner's guide carries the Dolby Audio trademark notice. There is no Dolby Atmos.
• No HDMI passthrough: the bar has no HDMI input. Sources such as a console or streaming box connect to the TV, and the TV sends their sound to the speaker.
• Room correction: Bose does not list any room calibration.
• Not expandable wirelessly: there are no wireless subwoofer or surround speaker options, and Bose does not name a compatible bass module for this model.
