S45H

Overview

The S45H is the 2.0 channel all-in-one model in TCL's 2024 S Class soundbar range. TCL lists the bar at 31.89 x 2.36 x 3.86 inches (810 x 60 x 98 mm, W x H x D). There is no separate subwoofer; TCL lists a built-in bass reflex port instead.

TCL lists up to 100 W of total power from two speakers. The bar supports Dolby Atmos and adds DTS Virtual:X. The sound modes are Standard, Movie, Music, Voice, Game and Sports, and the remote adds Voice Enhance, Night Mode, Surround Enhance and the AI Sonic-Adaptation presets.

The inputs are HDMI eARC, optical, a 3.5 mm AUX input, USB and Bluetooth 5.2. The TCL Home app can control the bar, update its firmware and run AI Sonic-Adaptation. The bar is Roku TV Ready, and with some TCL TVs it supports TCL Tutti Choral, an "Internal Speaker+Sound Bar" audio output that plays the TV speakers and the soundbar together. The box contains a power cord, an HDMI cable, the remote with two AAA batteries, wall mount brackets with screws and anchors, a wall mount template and the printed leaflets.

What the specs mean

• 2.0 speaker setup: left and right channels in one bar, with no subwoofer channel.
• Dolby Atmos: TCL lists Dolby Atmos processing for the bar; the speaker layout is 2.0.
• HDMI eARC: the TV sends its sound to the bar over the included HDMI cable. There is no HDMI input, so there is no video passthrough.
• AI Sonic-Adaptation: TCL's room calibration. The TCL Home app measures the sound field with the phone's microphone at your seat and evens out speaker distance, level and frequency response.
