Overview
HW-C450 is a 2023 Samsung C-series soundbar, the budget line in Samsung's 2023 range, with a wireless subwoofer in the box. The soundbar is 858.8 mm wide, 59 mm high and 75 mm deep and can be wall-mounted; the wall-mount brackets are included. Samsung lists the SWA-9200S wireless rear speaker kit as compatible.
Samsung lists 3 speakers and 300 W of total power, and a Bass Boost sound mode.
There is no HDMI port: the TV connects with the included optical cable or over Bluetooth. A USB port plays music files. There is no Wi-Fi.
You can control it with the buttons on the bar, the included remote or the TV remote.
What the specs mean
- 2.1 speaker setup: left and right channels plus one subwoofer channel.
- No HDMI: the bar has no HDMI ARC or eARC port, so TV sound comes in over optical or Bluetooth.
- Audio formats: Dolby Digital, DTS and 2-channel LPCM; Samsung also lists a DTS Virtual:X sound mode.
- Voice and night modes: Samsung lists Voice Enhance for dialogue and a Night Mode, which lowers the volume and compresses the bass for late listening.
